Briggs and Stratton Air Filter part# 496894S is used on 12.5-15 Gross Hp verticle shaft engines. This filter uses our 272403S Pre-Cleaner. Following is a list of some of the engine model series that use this air filter; 283700, 284700, 286700, 287700, 289700, 28M700, 28N700, 28Q700, 28R700, 28S700, 28T700, 28U700, 28V700, 310700, 311700, and 313700. There may be other models that use this filter that we have not listed here. Type and code number of your engine, as well as the model number, need to be referenced to select the correct filter for your machine. Refer to your owners manual when possible to select the correct filter for your engine.
